From Rock Bottom to Radiance: Embracing My Authentic Self

For years, I wrestled with questions that many of us silently carry:

"Am I good enough?"
"What do I truly know?"
"Why would anyone listen to me?"

These thoughts echoed relentlessly in my mind, often drowning out the quiet voice inside urging me to speak, share, and lead with love. I spent years trying to fix myself, investing thousands in business coaching, therapy, yoga, and even a Master’s degree in Sustainability, hoping a formal title would finally validate me.

But the truth was simpler than I imagined:
All I ever really wanted was to be a voice for Mother Nature.

Chained by Expectations

For a long time, I didn’t know how to step into that truth. So I shaped myself to fit others’ expectations of how I should mother, work, look, act, and live. I followed the script society handed me, even when it quietly chipped away at my joy and individuality.

I’ve hit rock bottom more than once, through struggles in my marriage, which has ended, my identity, my career, and in the spaces where I felt I had to trade authenticity for acceptance.

But within those deep valleys, something powerful happened.

Rising with Purpose

I realised I was no longer willing to shrink or fit in. I wanted more. I needed something different. Each breakdown invited me to rebuild, not based on fear, but on purpose.

Now, in my mid-forties, I’m reclaiming my story. I’ve stopped waiting for permission. I’ve let go of perfection. I no longer crave everyone’s approval because I’ve found something more meaningful: peace in walking my own path.

I am a woman, a mother, a sustainability advocate, a researcher, and a guide for others who want to live in greater alignment with nature and themselves.

I Am Dayana

A voice for Mother Nature, Gaia, and Pachamama. I lead with love, share with intention, and live in reverence for the Earth. This path—the one rooted in authenticity, community, and climate care—feels like coming home.
