As a former travel advisor for twenty years, I’ve seen firsthand the rise of the conscious traveller who wants to travel more responsibly. The challenge I saw was knowing how and who to trust to ensure it is ethical and not just greenwash. This is where travel advisors can lead — and must.

When I first started The Sustainable Traveller in 2017, I was a travel advisor seeking responsible, eco-aligned travel options—not just for my clients, but also for myself. Travellers were seeking more meaningful and ethical experiences, but few options met that standard. The gap was clear.
So I created a bridge between conscious travellers and the travel industry.
Fast forward to today, and I’m building the next evolution: recruiting and empowering travel agents to lead the transition towards responsible and sustainable travel.
Because today’s travellers are demanding more, and the industry must rise to meet them.
